Ramona TEA’d is a non-partisan group of citizens committed to restoring Constitutional government at the Local, State and Federal levels. To help the local electorate with the critical issues and races in the upcoming elections, RAMONA TEA’D will sponsor “Town Hall” Forum Events to cover timely topics that are in the news, or should be.
We would like to kindly remind you that all of our Forum Events at the Ramona Mainstage at 626 Main Street have limited seating capacity, and encourage you to arrive at least 30 minutes early. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and the programs are scheduled from noon to 2:00 p.m., except when noted. Those attending are encouraged to come early and mix and meet. Food and drinks are available on site. We would also like to remind you that security will be present at all Forum Events, and that un-civil behavior will not be tolerated.
“Our mission is to provide a forum to address grievances and concerns regarding the excessive spending, taxation and social engineering that we believe is rampant in federal, state and local governments.
We are also concerned about the threat to our national sovereignty and lack of border security.
We will accomplish this through education, information and responsible activism.
We further commit ourselves to do this in a manner that is both responsible and respectful as we express our Constitutional right to peacefully assemble and to petition our government.
We further believe that it is imperative that our government return to a Constitutional Republic as it was intended. This can only happen if the people of the United States of America participate in a government that is
“OF AND BY THE PEOPLE.”
FIRST PRINCIPLES OF THE TEA PARTY EFFORT
The American Republic is based on Judeo-Christian principles. The Rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness asserted in the Declaration of Independence are self evident truths based on Natural Law, and as such are irrevocable. The founding principles of limited government and freedom from tyranny are what made ours the most prosperous, and most generous, nation of all time. It is to these principles that we must return in order to preserve the Union.
1. Individual Rights & Responsibilities
2. Private Property Rights
3. Constitutional Conservatism
4. Limited Government
5. Fiscal Responsibility
6. National Security
7. Respecting State’s Rights
8. Free Market
